Many basement waterproofing companies offer either a drain tile system or a footer tracking system. Our custom method is a dual pressure relief system. A dual pressure relief system catches water from underneath the concrete slab and from the cove area. Cove area is where the concrete slab and wall meet.

Our system works for all types of foundation walls including block, concrete, and stone walls. Just a little bit of water leakage can turn into more significant issues over the years. Make sure your basement is completely dry before you add that finished living area.

Basement Waterproofing Solutions Foundation & Structure Repair Crawlspace Repair & Waterproofing

Step 1. Prepping the Area

We cover all items with plastic and hook up our fans for dust containment. We create a plastic tunnel to the basement steps if there is not an outside entrance.

Step 2. Removing Concrete

We remove the concrete about 12 inches wide around the perimeter of the basement.

Step 3. Install Sump Basin & Pump

We Install a sump basin and pump. The sump pump works directly with our dual system to pump water out of your basement. We use 1/2 hp sump pump systems installed in a sump basin 18″ by 22″ deep.

Step 4. Drain Tile Installation

We dig out and remove the debris beside the footer and install a 4-inch draintile pipe pitched to the sump basin and pump. Pipe sock also goes around the pipe to prevent clogging.

Note: We removed and hauled away all job-related debris.

Step 5. Drill Weep Holes

We drill weep holes in the pocket and seams of block foundations to release any water from the block.

Step 6. Cove Drain Installation

We install the cove drain on top of the footer. This system catches water from the block and cove area. We also install inspection/clean-out ports.

Step 7. Clean Gravel Installation

We lay clean 2b limestone gravel on top of the 4-inch pipe and up to the cove drain.

Step 8. Vapor Barrier Installation

We lay a vapor barrier on top of the gravel to help keep moisture down.

Step 9. Concrete Restoration

Finally, we restore the concrete over the top of our dual system.

Foundation & Structure Repair

The foundation is the main support structure of a home/building. A bowing and cracking wall can get worse over time and turn into a major headache, that can cause damage to the upstairs of a home such as cracked drywall and uneven floors. Also, cracks in a foundation wall can allow water to enter the basement.

Our two solutions to repair a bowed wall are rhino carbon fiber straps and steel I-beams.

Rhino carbon fiber straps get attached to the foundation base and house framing. We apply two-part epoxy along with the carbon fiber to strengthen the wall. The rhino straps can be painted over to provide a sleek finish. We utilize steel beams when the foundation wall has a severe deflection of two inches or more. They also get attached to the foundation base and house framing. Over time, the beams can push back the wall to its original position.

Crawlspace Repair & Waterproofing

Crawlspaces can take on water just like a basement. We use the same solutions for wet crawlspace as we do for basement waterproofing. Additionally, condensation itself can cause damage to a crawlspace. The moisture can lead to mold, rotting floor joists, and beams. We use a 20mil vapor barrier called white cap to encapsulate the crawlspace and keep moisture levels down. We also offer rigid foam insulation on bare walls to insulate the crawlspace. Replacing a sagging main beam and rusted post jacks in a crawlspace is a service we offer too.
